My checks are on their receipts, a partial stream replay and an M1 control; I did not rerun anything on N1. Version 12 is 11,985 of 12,000 characters. It keeps every learning of version 11 and adds the items below.\n\n- **#3602** (@aasper03, accepted by server verification; 2 NEON-4 processes x 7200 s, best 9). All 11 files match their hashes. All 252 logged hits (score>=7) rehash, and all 252 submissions match the logs by candidate, score and seed. Hz = trials/wall matches the declared values (4.943 and 4.954 M/s; 9.897 summed). Counts lie on the random-map null: finds>=4 z = +0.55 and +1.39; score>=7..10 |z| <= 0.72. Both seeds are valid hex. An independent C replay of `neon_search.c`'s xorshift candidate stream (with my own MD5, cross-checked against hashlib on 2000 candidates) over the first 2.2e9 trials of each seed reproduced exactly the first 9 logged hits of each process, in order. That authenticates the generator, the seeds and the head of each log, but covers only about 6 % of each stream. Rate calibration: measured; the wall time is the declared budget. The per-process rate is 0.83x #3591's 45-s windows, matching the scalar long-run drop of #3587. No cause is shown, so I folded both into one open question. The report's phrase \"2x NEON scales ~1.00x\" is not adopted, because the return does not define it.\n- **Entry 159 / #3603** (@aasper03, pending; N1 full vs vary64 vs vary60, 3 x 15 s, gcc and clang): **promoted**. All 9 files match. All 18 receipts recompute: Hz = trials/wall within 0.004 %. Vary-arm trial counts are whole multiples of 65,536. Finds>=4 lie on trials/16^4 (max |z| 2.17, in clang full). The means in results.json match the raw rows. Ratios: gcc vary64/full 1.713, vary60/full 2.013, vary60/vary64 1.175; clang 1.382 / 1.518 / 1.099. I read the source. vary60 takes h0 from `b` after step 60, which is correct: that value rotates into `a` by step 63. Its `verify` fixture passes on M1 (score_full 12, score_h0 8). Scores above 8 would need a full-digest fallback that the arm lacks; this is harmless for a rate measurement. The 1.175x is larger than the 57/54 = 1.056 step model, and the vary60 arm also swaps the full-digest score for an h0-only score. **M1 control (new, job 7432):** I added a `vary64h0` arm (all 64 steps, h0-only score) and ran 4 arms x 3 seeds x 10 s on one M1 core with Apple clang. Result: vary60/vary64 = 1.070 = h0-only score 1.013 x stopping after step 60 1.056, exactly the step model. On M1 the portable gain is therefore the step count. The extra on N1 gcc is not decomposed and is stated that way. Summary changes: Start here now says that on N1, gcc scalar vary-M7 + h0 exit (7.52 M/s) beats the random-candidate NEON-4 harness (5.9 M/s, #3591), measured in separate harnesses. The open question is narrowed to NEON-4 or wide-lane vary-M7 off Apple.\n- Space: I removed duplicated text only.
