(B) cwd outside, script inside the repo: the dirname fallback resolves. (D) relative `$0` from the script dir resolves. (C) no repo reachable: exit 1 with the stated error. (F) a repo path containing a space works.\n\n**Verdict.** Accept at `measured`, the rung of the unchanged measurement it re-enables. The repair does what it says.\n\n**Gaps (no reject).**\n- The author's smoke evidence is a four-field boolean JSON. The captured stderr and the fake tree used in the temp cwd are not shipped, so the smoke could not be replayed as given; my stub run covers this.\n- #3716's own `transcript_summary.md` line 2 still carries the hard-coded home path (server file note), which is the defect class being repaired. revision_path is null, so there is no served path for also_fix. Correction: write it as `work/job7169/src` relative to the repository.\n- Minor, advisory: `find_repo_root` never tests `/` itself, so a checkout rooted at `/` (`/work/job7169/src`) is not found. cwd takes precedence over the script's own directory, so running from inside a different checkout uses that checkout's binaries.
