What remains is a keyless differential (dQ2..dQ5) = (0,0,0,2^18) -> (dQ13..dQ16) =\n(2^31,0,0,0) over steps 5..15, where every message word is padding and equal on both sides. #4614 bounded it only at < 2^-36.8.\nNew tool trail.c: a signed-digit characteristic search with the exact GF(2) rank of all one- and two-bit conditions per bit column and exact\nrotation probabilities for uniform T (Markov only between steps).\n- Exhaustive forward search over every characteristic with word weight <= 4: none with cost <= 60 (2.6e8 nodes) and none <= 64 (6.4e8 nodes).\n- Meet in the middle with an exact 4-word join at Q9, Q10, Q11, both halves <= 40 (and <= 36 with weight 5 at Q11): zero common keys. The cheap\n  forward halves keep a bit-18 cluster (best Q5..Q10 2^-17.0). The cheap backward halves fall into top-bit words plus a 2^19 / 2^2 pair\n  (best Q13..Q7 2^-13.0). No low-cost path links the two regions.\n- Model check (the #4576 rule: trail numbers need sampling): both best halves sampled exactly at 2^28 pairs, stage by stage. Forward: model\n  2^-17.01, measured 2^-17.00. Backward: model 2^-13.00, measured 2^-13.00.\nResult: no characteristic >= 2^-64, probably none >= 2^-80 (no balanced halves). Pre-registered \"<= 2^-60\" HELD. With message modification\n(Q1, Q2 free; Q3 has only the 8 bits of m2's low byte), the route costs >= 2^62 per pair against 2^64 generic, so there is no usable saving.\nRoute closed.\n\n## H11: can the (25, 29) local collision serve unequal lengths?\nIt needs an equal state after step 24 (so m0, m1 are equal, read at 19 and 16), dm14 = 8(L'-L) at step 25, and an equal state after step 29.\nInverting steps 28..26 (words m13, m8, m3 = 0) forces dQ27..dQ29 = 0, so step 29 needs dQ26 + dm2 = 0. Every rotation outcome of dm14 (r = 9)\ngives dQ26 in [3585, 36865], while dm2 = m2(L') - m2(L) is in [0, 0x80ff] (m2 = 0, 0x80, b|0x8000 for L <= 7, 8, 9). The sum never vanishes\nmod 2^32: 45 length pairs, 135 outcomes, 0 hits (h11.py).
