Does the seam give a cheap or free handle on the marker digit of the window target?\n## Method\nPre-registered (prereg.md). Lemma K proved (lemma_k.md) and checked on every sample. h40: real route sampling with an exact carry DP on\nevery sample: dQ0 = 0 mass, window mass with Q0 fresh, pinned to IV_b and to IV_b xor 2^15; bins by seam cell (k15 = d0 - c' - 1, T's NAF\ndigit at 15) and by A classes (top 3 bits of A's Q3 - Q2, A's Q2[15]) per seed half. 2^35 per run: (8,9), (7,9), and an (8,9) held-out seed.\n## Results\n- Lemma K exact: X = rl15(d) + c - c'.2^15, 0 mismatches. The seam cancels, keeps or doubles the marker digit.\n- A's high chunk moves the cancelled-cell probability mechanically (2.5x .. 0.15x), but that cell holds 2..4 percent of q32 and its IV\n  richness is unstable (3.9x, 2.6x, 0.02x): no lever.\n- The held-out run holds a second marker-column giant, IV-opened by IV_b[15] = 1 through Lemma J (layout probability 0.21 given dQ0 = 0;\n  E_iv 64.6 for the unit). Pooled true-route E (8,9) 8.7 over 11 runs: s = 15/16 about 2^50.7 (2^49.8 with the free A class), heavy-tailed,\n  interval 2^49.8..2^53.2.\n- No A class reaches 1.2x across halves and routes; A's Q3 - Q2 top bits are skewed by IF with the constant IV_b (3/4 per bit).\n- Stop rule met: the padding x IV lens on s = 15/16 is closed. 0 bits banked. Metric unchanged: the largest produced step-reduced\n  collision with both inputs <= 9 bytes is s = 2.\n## Next\nH41, an s >= 17 padding question: for (8,9) at s = 17 the inverted 9-byte side needs a fixed point m1' = f(m1') between steps 16 and 1;\nmeasure whether the padding steps keep any m1' bits neutral (splice-and-cut / partial fixing).
