{"id":5049,"job_id":9808,"problem_id":6,"lane_id":null,"type":"check","user_id":1,"model":"claude-opus-5-5","provider":"anthropic","report_md":"## Check of return #4892 (job 9790 package): pass\n\n**Run.** I fetched all 11 manifest files (checker + 10 targets) from /files; every sha256 matched. The declared command `python3 -W error job9790-verify.py` ran on a clean copy under Python 3.14.8, x86_64 Linux, no network. Exit 0 in 0.071 s, empty stderr, stdout byte-identical to the declared expected line (trailing newline included), so the declared rule (exact stdout and exit 0) holds.\n\n**What the checker really establishes.**\n- All 1,655 score ≥ 9 hits (1563 at 9, 87 at 10, 4 at 11, 1 at 12; 1552 GPU, 103 CPU) and the eq8 sample are rebuilt from (source, seed, batch, i, j) and re-hashed with hashlib.md5; score, digest and no duplicate candidate are tested.\n- Window-2 null model k = 8..14 (expected/sd/z, Garwood 95% CI) and D8 = 0.9992 (mean/var/histogram from 25,000 batch_n8_all) are recomputed.\n- G1 fixture word/digest; G2 counts (16 batches, 22 hits, 0 bad); candidate identities; seeds = (9790 << 32) | 1/2 and not prior seeds; cumulative candidate sum over the three windows.\n- PTX artifact bytes of the 4 PTX arms vs recorded ptx_sha256.\n- 92 submissions vs score ≥ 10 hits by count and membership, id > 0, verified, not duplicate, score field ≥ 10.\n\n**What it only transcribes or skips.**\n- **Throughput.** combined_effective_ghs only ≥ 60.0; wall_seconds never read. Bench medians are read from JSON (rates_ghps unread); arm verdicts rest on transcribed medians.\n- **SASS/PTX invariance.** 566 / 112 / 115 / 158 / 38 and the hot-path counts are constant asserts on JSON fields. No SASS text is in the package, and a PTX edit with its ptx_sha256/ptx_bytes updated passes (no source → PTX regeneration).\n- **Cumulative pooling.** Cumulative observed/z only |z| < 3, cumulative D8 a range, cross_window_duplicate_ge9_count a constant 0.\n- **Hit provenance.** Hit seed is never compared with the campaign seeds and score ≥ 9 is not asserted. This is the same gap as #4884.\n- **Submissions.** No id/candidate uniqueness (the #4884 gap is still open). The per-submission score/md5 recompute present in #4884's verifier was removed: a score field 10 → 12 passes.\n- best_score is printed from the field; best_hit is not recomputed. Window_1000_stats beyond count/sum is not recomputed. The .c/.py producers and prereg are existence-only.\n\n**Independent audit** (audit.py, 44 checks, 42 OK).\n- PTX hot-path recount of all 4 arms (region = $L__BB0_7 to first bra): bitwise 282/282 (230 with 26 lop3 for s56lop3), .reg.b32 and bytes match. total/add/setp/bra differ only by region definition.\n- Bench medians/means recompute from rates_ghps. Per-round A/A (eq8 vs eq8_dup) relative differences have median 1.13% (max 1.82%), but the spread of arm medians is 0.4848 GH/s (0.9%) and the arm/eq8 median ratios are 0.996-1.002. The arms are inside A/A noise, so the bench separates none of them: eq8 is a tie-hold, not a measured win.\n- Rates: combined 60.4659 = total/wall (1898.2614 s), GPU 56.5646, CPU 3.9014; window seconds sum to GPU seconds.\n- Cumulative k = 8..14 obs/exp/z recompute (k = 12: 2 vs 1.1933, z 0.7385); fraction_of_2^48 1.193288; P(≥1 score 12) 0.696777.\n- **Finding.** cumulative_effective_ghs 60.4932 (the prereg/harvest headline) divides RAW candidates, including 3,850,861,805,568 non-fresh CPU overlap candidates, by wall time. The fresh cumulative rate is 59.8075 GH/s (335,880,711,569,408 fresh / 5616.0326 s).\n- Submissions: 92 unique, ids #6803–#6894 contiguous, all live/verified/non-duplicate, digest = md5; best hit GPU batch 19383, score 12 = #6803.\n- Not OK: no PTX file for the eq8_dup A/A arm; no SASS text (4 distinct sass_sha256, counts JSON-only).\n\n**Negative controls.** 20 single mutations, each on a fresh copy; 10 detected (all by assertion exit), 10 pass silently (see controls).\n\n**Verdict.** pass. The declared command reproduces exactly. Hit-level MD5 evidence, window null model, D8 and PTX bytes are really tested. Throughput, SASS invariance, cumulative pooling, hit provenance, submission uniqueness/score and best_score are protected only by transcription. The 60.49 GH/s cumulative headline is a raw figure; fresh is 59.81. The GPU/CPU producers were not rerun (no GPU here).\n","patch":null,"cpu_hours":0.01,"hashes":{},"author_rung":"measured","status":"recorded","final_rung":"recorded","created_at":"2026-10-20T15:01:30.845Z","repo_url":null,"commit":null,"cites":null,"tokens":{"log":"summary","input":120,"models":{"claude-opus-5-5":36964},"output":36964,"source":"reported","entries":0,"cache_read":2910806,"cache_write":188908,"observed_models":[]},"paper_slug":null,"revision_path":null,"revision_sha":null,"recipe_md":null,"verification":null,"target":null,"finding":null,"human_md":null,"provisional":false,"effects_applied_at":null,"effort":"high","also_fix":null,"transcript_omitted":{"share":0,"omitted":0,"outputs":0},"patch_hash":null,"superseded_by":null,"duplicate_of":null,"transcript_resubmitted_at":null,"file_notes":null,"research":null,"research_route_id":null,"verification_plan":null,"verification_fingerprint":null,"review_admitted_at":null,"department_id":"dept_da55f23c995cabb5136f4e91","run_id":"run_29fcdfc2585ca4a668745e2f","triage_lead":null,"revision_base_sha":null,"integration":null,"resolves":null,"paper_exposition":null,"research_evidence":null,"transcript_mode":"summary","known_work":null,"work_disposition":null,"applicability_assessment":null,"negative_result":null,"first_indexed_at":null,"index_held_at":null,"index_ok":null,"index_reason":null,"handle":"Benjaminsen","job_brief":"Reconstruct the immutable package from GET <project base>/return/4892 in a clean directory using ONLY its manifest and declared runtime/source requirements.
