{"id":2388,"job_id":5098,"problem_id":1,"lane_id":2,"type":"explore","user_id":58,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","provider":"anthropic","report_md":"# Cross-lane synthesis (job #5098): the X-channel's sixth and seventh points, from #2327's segmented lever applied to #2313's blocked series\n\n## What I read, and what I found\nThe eight returns are all accepted documentary corrections: #2329 (exponent-control wording), #2327 (xchan-at29 error-model qualification), #2322 (Seam glossary entry), #2318 (global-factor-signs ledger), #2313 (xchannel-at23 residual and cross-references), #2311 (REC certificate diagnostic), #2289 (TWIN-REDUCTION support statement), #2281 (proposal-fold-L provenance). Only two bear on one another: #2313 and #2327, both on TODO item X.\n- #2313 states that the @23 X-channel run is the last the in-memory instrument can do (\"@29 needs 162 GB ... a segmented or streaming rewrite clears it\") and that the statistic's sixth point is missing.\n- #2327 built a segmented instrument for the sister statistic (the joint deficit J): per-r lists D_a(r), D_b(r) of scour primes dividing r and r+2, 62 MB at every level, and says the 162 GB is the natal-cap-35 version's figure.\n- **The connection.** The X-channel's anchored multiplicity is m_r(0) = omega_s(r) + omega_s(r+2) (natal-cap-35, trichotomy I3), i.e. exactly |D_a(r)| + |D_b(r)| of #2327 on the same natal set and the same scour primes. So the anchored spectrum n_k(0), X(0), S(0) and #2313's independent-marginal test come out of the same segmented pass, and the ensemble means (X-bar, S-bar) from natal-cap-35's u-form reduce to one pass over v with a running natal count (derivation below). Neither return states this (I did not search every served document for it).\n- **Rung and check of the identity of objects (verified, finite).** The scour set coincides: C(K,3) is 80,993,070,011 at @29 and 8,812,286,043,484 at @31, equal to the triple counts printed in #2327; the largest (|D_a|, |D_b|) are (5, 6) at @29 and (6, 6) at @31, as in #2327; K at @19 is 435 as in natal-cap-35.\n\n## Result\nInstruments: xcen.c (anchored census, segmented) and xens.c (ensemble, u-form), single core, 143,139,150 and 4,151,035,350 natal slots at @29 and @31. Columns: natal count, anchored X(0), ensemble X-bar, anchored S(0), ensemble S-bar, the statistic (X-bar - X(0))/S-bar, and #2313's independent-marginal error on X in percent of X and in units of S(0).\n\n| level | N | X(0) | X-bar | S(0) | S-bar | (X-bar-X(0))/S-bar | err on X % | err in S(0) units % |\n|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|\n| @11 | 90 | 28 | 19.26 | 45 | 38.24 | -0.2287 | -3.2540 | -2.0247 |\n| @13 | 990 | 452 | 456.18 | 307 | 310.88 | +0.0134 | +0.2896 | +0.4264 |\n| @17 | 14,850 | 10,381 | 10,947.70 | 3,099 | 3,614.93 | +0.1568 | +0.0895 | +0.2997 |\n| @19 | 252,450 | 236,625 | 247,579.81 | 38,380 | 49,238.76 | +0.2225 | -0.0462 | -0.2850 |\n| @23 | 5,301,450 | 6,179,192 | 6,395,995.55 | 597,475 | 815,732.55 | +0.2658 | +0.0500 | +0.5175 |\n| @29 | 143,139,150 | 199,165,787 | 203,880,438.37 | 12,307,838 | 17,027,709.28 | +0.2769 | +0.0296 | +0.4793 |\n| @31 | 4,151,035,350 | 6,607,909,964 | 6,712,640,868.84 | 283,449,187 | 388,098,443.18 | +0.2699 | +0.0191 | +0.4448 |\n\n**Acceptance (verified).** At @11..@23 the instrument reproduces every value the record prints: the five values of the statistic (-0.2287, +0.0134, +0.1568, +0.2225, +0.2658), the four X(0)/X-bar and four S(0)/S-bar ratios, the exact X and independent-marginal X of #2313's table to the printed digits, and S-bar = 49,238.76 at @19. Independent code agrees: a brute-force census at @11..@19 (N, X, M, S(0) equal), the full-range numpy u-form at @13 and @17 (no mirror symmetry used), and a direct rotation sweep at @11 and @13.\n\n## What the new points say (measured, finite)\n- **The rise stops.** The statistic increases up to @29 and is lower at @31: 11->13: +0.2421, 13->17: +0.1433, 17->19: +0.0657, 19->23: +0.0433, 23->29: +0.0111, 29->31: -0.0070. Each increment is smaller than the one before, and the last is negative; the maximum of the seven values is at @29 (+0.2769), and @31 gives +0.2699. #2313 states in its section 7 that \"the value is still rising\"; that extrapolation does not survive the seventh point. All seven values stay far below 1; that is the finite reading of Assumption A's condition, not a proof for any other level, and one decrease is not a trend.\n- X(0)/X-bar and S(0)/S-bar at @29: 0.9769, 0.7228; at @31: 0.9844, 0.7304.\n- #2313's reading that the independent-marginal test sees only the zero-zero cell is checked numerically: X_model - X equals n0_model - n0 to rounding at every level, @31 included. The error on X falls +0.0500, +0.0296, +0.0191 percent (@23, @29, @31) and in S(0) units +0.5175, +0.4793, +0.4448. The half-percent offsets that #2327 reports for J are a different statistic; I looked for a relation and make no claim.\n\n## The derivation used for the ensemble leg (derived, checked)\nWith mu(v) = #{q : q | v or q | v+2}, C(v) = #{r in N : r < v}, E[n_k] W = sum_(v>=0) [mu(v)=k] (Nbar - C(v)) + sum_(v=0)^(W-3) [mu(v)=k] (Nbar - C(v+1)) + [k=0] Nbar. The second sum is the negative half of natal-cap-35's range after the mirror v -> -v-2 (mu(-v-2) = mu(v)) and the symmetry r -> W-2-r of the natal set. It was checked against the unreduced numpy sum over (-W, W) at @13 and @17 and against a brute-force rotation sweep at @11 and @13; the identity sum_k E[n_k] = Nbar and the final count C = Nbar are asserted by xens.c at every level. The @31 pass itself was run once (about 23 minutes on one core); its sieve kernel was checked at @31 by trial division by every scour prime on three windows of 200,000 positions (start, a window above 2^32, and the end of the range): the multiplicity histograms and natal counts are identical, including mu(0) = K = 37,534. The pass is not otherwise reproduced independently at @31. A first version of xens.c overflowed a byte at v = 0 (all K scour primes divide 0) and gave X-bar = 454.07 instead of 456.18 at @13; the sweep caught it and v = 0 is now added separately.\n\n## What this changes, and what it does not\nIt supplies the sixth and seventh points that #2313 lists as missing (\"No sixth point from this instrument\"), from instruments that reproduce all earlier points, and it shows that the five-point rise does not continue monotonically. It does not prove an all-level statement, a limit, or Assumption A; two points past @23 cannot. The decelerating increments and the reversal at @31 describe seven numbers.\n\n## Gap that remains\n@37 is out of reach for the ensemble leg without restructuring: by position count (W grows 37-fold from @31) the ensemble pass would take about 14 hours on one core, the anchored census (2 minutes at @31) about 1.5 hours. Whether the reversal at @31 is the start of a decline or a one-level fluctuation is untested; nothing here fits a limit. Whether J's half-percent offset and the n_0-unit residual share a mechanism is untested.\n","patch":null,"cpu_hours":0,"hashes":{"xcen.c":"a074ee633b09ddea59a8ab6032c1113fb71065c65646cf9f3680bd57cc50cb86","xens.c":"3ac635e1510c553534edb825af4d47afb1abcfbc0855956e0e4b64bbc48da374","xwin.c":"bacc0b59fae4cf3bb477c8253d4c3349a2961ba15c868ed5cbdd740ab0597a2b","indep.py":"8f557064770db4708529b9e26fee749350fe866dd7f9530f06de86c85bf1aa49","sweep.py":"a0eea3e36f22558091390fb649cb1ba0d6b16a2c35b29d0f64a8ec459cd045fe","build6.py":"fd2a6928684fef69485e934025e89c7cfaa1f21e5deccec8565c6ac4cb34f286","fetch_w.py":"7a7ad70a1622072864d2bd46d3bcc0e5298034f7f70dfcfeb53ce5cb769d5265","indep.json":"125634b7af09b5783a78c67a00e37e8dd9ddc9243f13ad13683fbdf46483b621","sweep.json":"fed8cbdde4b3c0f4e07c60aa40fc93ac2922c9b4c6031983d49c465e53f805ae","uform.json":"ee4e9ac367fe5d0d3095b56d05c5a5268f731f9ced13104366b70586af46ccc8","check_w6.py":"58076e1c4b02c59e9ccd08f41763969159e439f9cedecc7e93c98ef571afcc8e","check_w6.out":"da2f77fcdfb9da837e34135ecdb9f457ee26b1c0ad1fd582b9a041d3c979eddb","win_check.py":"3b7183b0bb66081d81beb2a7571c63ecde30bfb22ade80fcc0bfe94025c2b99a","results6.json":"7e77387826e386653b7ab7a6fb12a2626933c7e8da47906fbaccb2be9cfc3368","summary6.json":"9a025c5f3a280c562f21c867c19ce207e3eb53f3a3977c7f56fe7710a82fd4e3","uform_check.py":"c364e303e3404fe3c82994974b9dbb03f97babaea9b1c0a74eb38a1041452d4f","win_check.json":"bc17202088129a2fdd4d231b77f09a2a438bc83c1b8e0db4f50c667f80837570","raw_outputs.json":"4f798f7c30d6080bc80dddf2f6137080645947b44e4e46b223ba1d5d7d47342e"},"author_rung":"measured","status":"recorded","final_rung":"recorded","created_at":"2026-10-06T04:48:49.816Z","repo_url":null,"commit":null,"cites":{"files":[],"handles":["Benjaminsen"],"returns":[2313,2327,2329,2322,2318,2311,2289,2281],"messages":[]},"tokens":{"log":"custom","input":116,"models":{"claude-sonnet-5-5":59268},"output":59268,"source":"custom-jsonl","entries":58,"cache_read":28948231,"cache_write":683887,"observed_models":["claude-sonnet-5-5"]},"paper_slug":null,"revision_path":null,"revision_sha":null,"recipe_md":"cc -O2 -o xcen xcen.c -lm; cc -O2 -o xens xens.c -lm; for x in 11 13 17 19 23 29 31: ./xcen x > x<x>.json; ./xens x <N from x<x>.json> > e<x>.json (@29: anchored 4 s, ensemble about 2 min; @31: anchored about 2 min, ensemble about 23 minutes, one core); python3 build6.py (asserts the five published values and ratios), python3 indep.py, sweep.py, uform_check.py, win_check.py (about 5 minutes), fetch_w.py, check_w6.py (needs the files above in the working directory).
