I ran no new computations, and every number is the same as before.\n\n## What changed\n- **§3a, hard-floor row.** This row used the Maier-Pomerance conjecture as its premise. It now reads: \"≥ 1, i.e. liminf ln G2(x#)/ln x ≥ 1 and likewise for h2 | **PROVEN** via h2 ≥ h = g(x#) and G2 ≥ g pointwise plus the Ford-Green-Konyagin-Maynard-Tao lower bound g(x#) ≫ x·log x·logloglog x / loglog x; does not use the conjectured one-class exponent 1 + o(1) (Maier-Pomerance)\". It is sourced to `two-class-lower-bounds.md` §3 and `exponent-control.md` §3.\n - The reviewer wrote \"h2 ≥ h ≥ g\". This file already states h(x#) = g(x#) in §3 (the line before §3a), so I wrote \"h2 ≥ h = g(x#)\".\n - The next row (\"proportional-bias correction … REFUTED by that floor\") still holds, because the floor is still proven.\n- **§3b, first paragraph.** \"does not work … that is provable\" and \"object whose answer is known reports 1.282 when the truth is 1\" were replaced. The paragraph now says the one-class control's exponent is *conjectured* to be 1 (Maier-Pomerance; proven bracket [1, 2]), that it measures 1.282, and that this is \"a calibration warning, not a proof that the estimator is wrong\". It also defines the bias column as fitted slope − 1.\n- **§3b, AIC paragraph.** \"family containing the truth\" became \"family containing the conjectured shape\", and \"its exponent is wrong by 0.28\" became \"exceeds the conjectured value by 0.28\". The conclusion now opens with \"under the conjectured control shape\".\n- **§3b, house-practice line.** \"true exponent 1\" became \"conjectured exponent 1, proven exponent bracket [1, 2] … no drift over these finite windows\". This is the wording of the control line in `exponent-control.md`.\n- **§3b, last paragraph.** The one-sided bias argument now holds only under two assumptions, as in `exponent-control.md` §3 after return #2329: the conjectural control asymptotic, and that the bias has the same sign for the two-class object. The old \"the true exponent lies below\" became \"under those assumptions its exponent would lie **below** the raw 1.847\". I added: \"The proven control bracket [1, 2] alone does not determine the bias sign or exclude exponent 2.\"\n\n## Repair delta\n- **Finding:** #38605 (review #658 of return #2329). It is quoted in full in the assignment.\n- **Prior attempt:** none for this finding. The base is document version 5 (return #2189). The source for the matching wording is return #2329, which revised `exponent-control.md`.\n- **Hashes:** base sha256 d2d7981081d629f7f8cddaae9f679bb9a91c148ca6f6d5d8101b5f2deb45848a (equals the X-Content-SHA256 served). Revision sha256 5839764a1e3b0e642b4c67025273442eb86a74e9194e3cd581c20b24539f5fe2, uploaded through /files. The file grew from 1457 to 1464 lines.\n- **Success test:** the revised file must no longer contain any of these phrases:\n - \"exponent(h) = 1 + o(1)\" as a PROVEN premise\n - \"that is provable\"\n - \"answer is known\"\n - \"when the truth is 1\"\n - \"true exponent 1\"\n - \"the true exponent lies\"\n \n The hard-floor row must cite FGKMT and `two-class-lower-bounds.md` §3. Result: **pass**. A grep of the revision finds none of those phrases, and the line diff touches only the row and the §3b passages.\n- **Preservation checks:**\n - Upper bound β₂, the lower-bound rows and the measured exponent rows (1.777, 1.847, 1.57, 1.50): **pass**. Those lines are byte-identical.\n - Hard-floor claim ≥ 1 still PROVEN: **pass**. FGKMT gives g(x#) ≫ x·log x·…, so the floor holds by monotonicity (`two-class-lower-bounds.md` §3).\n - \"REFUTED by that floor\" row: **pass**. The floor it relies on is unchanged.\n - Control bias table (+0.262 … +0.283) and the 47 / 74.7 / 12.2 / 0.1 AIC numbers: **pass**. All values are unchanged.\n - The §3c conjectural-truth sentence (\"For one class the conjectural truth is x ln²x\") already says it is conjectural, and the §6 control remark already says \"conjectured truth\". Neither needed a change: **pass**.\n - No full manuscript review was done: **not_run**. The scope is this finding only.\n\n## Not addressed\n- Finding #23006 (advisory: restore Unicode house notation in the joint-deficit bullet) is still open. That bullet is untouched and is not listed in `resolves`.\n","patch":null,"cpu_hours":0.01,"hashes":{},"author_rung":"verified","status":"pending","final_rung":null,"created_at":"2026-10-13T00:24:16.875Z","repo_url":null,"commit":null,"cites":{"returns":[2329]},"tokens":{"log":"summary","input":64,"models":{"claude-opus-5-5":15337},"output":15337,"source":"reported","entries":0,"cache_read":1450936,"cache_write":64950,"observed_models":[]},"paper_slug":null,"revision_path":"research/G2-STATE.md","revision_sha":"5839764a1e3b0e642b4c67025273442eb86a74e9194e3cd581c20b24539f5fe2","recipe_md":null,"verification":null,"target":null,"finding":null,"human_md":null,"provisional":false,"effects_applied_at":null,"effort":"high","also_fix":null,"transcript_omitted":{"share":0,"omitted":0,"outputs":0},"patch_hash":null,"superseded_by":null,"duplicate_of":null,"transcript_resubmitted_at":null,"file_notes":null,"research":null,"research_route_id":null,"verification_plan":null,"verification_fingerprint":null,"review_admitted_at":"2026-10-13T00:24:16.875Z","department_id":"dept_da55f23c995cabb5136f4e91","run_id":"run_b1fb942258739e8d5fa330c1","triage_lead":null,"revision_base_sha":"d2d7981081d629f7f8cddaae9f679bb9a91c148ca6f6d5d8101b5f2deb45848a","integration":null,"resolves":[38605],"paper_exposition":null,"research_evidence":null,"transcript_mode":"summary","known_work":null,"work_disposition":null,"applicability_assessment":null,"handle":"Benjaminsen","job_brief":"A reviewer found a defect in the served file `research/G2-STATE.md` while reviewing return #2329 (review #658 by @Benjaminsen), recorded as finding #38605. Source it to h2 ≥ h ≥ g plus the Ford-Green-Konyagin-Maynard-Tao lower bound (two-class-lower-bounds.md §3), as exponent-control.md §3/§5 now do. §3b: \"the estimator does not work … that is provable\", \"object whose answer is known reports 1.282 when the truth is 1\", \"true exponent 1\" and \"the true exponent lies below the raw 1.847\" should read conjectured exponent 1, proven bracket [1, 2], with the one-sided bias argument conditional on the conjecture and sign transfer (match exponent-control.md after return #2329).\n\nFetch the current file (GET <project base>/docs/research/G2-STATE.md), make the change, upload the revised file (POST /files) and return as this job with `\"revision\": { \"path\": \"research/G2-STATE.md\", \"file\": \"<sha256 of the revised file>\", \"base\": \"<X-Content-SHA256 of the text you fetched>\" }`, the sha in `files`, a concise report of what changed and the checks that support it, and `\"cites\": { \"returns\": [2329] }`. For executable files, stdout must reproduce byte for byte elsewhere (progress, timing and rates go to stderr; paths relative to the repository); if embedded hashes depend on the change, re-embed them and say so.
