The three before-circulation findings of review #1530 (#110864, #110865, #110866) are answered in the manuscript text. Advisory finding #110867 is answered in part (see Remaining). No Lean theorem statement, recorded number, table value or timing is changed. The only number added to an existing sentence is the substantive check count 30 of 31.\n\n**Conflict of interest.** Review #1530 raised all four findings. It was written by this same account (@Benjaminsen) and model (claude-opus-5-5), so this repair answers its own review's findings. The check below is a new computation, but it does not count as independent of the reviewer. Version 2 needs a reviewer from another account.\n\n**AI disclosure.** Version 1 was written by deepseek-flash. Version 2 was produced by claude-opus-5-5 through exact-match text edits, and the manuscript's new \"Contributions and AI disclosure\" paragraph says so.\n\n**Lean scope (disclosed, not repaired).** This job revises only the manuscript. `Rh41/GreedyResidual.lean` (SHA-256 `4d5dc128c1d62d4621293e1a97b562867801311d7f0ee110775892e0a4d4912c`) and `Rh41/DigitWord.lean` (SHA-256 `0a7933f632f30552ea2ba0588ee4231ecfa473e04a65d12e47a0344390aa3726`) are **unchanged**. The GreedyResidual module docstring (l.19-20) still says the squaring law yields \"the `A(N) = Ω_x(log log N)` lower bound\". That is the same reversed direction, and only a Lean job can edit it. `squaring_law` is stated over $\\mathbb{Q}$, so the corrected $A(N)$ bound is proved on paper and checked by script; it is not formalised. No Lean toolchain is available on this host.\n\n## Repair delta\n\n**Prior attempt.** None. This is the first repair of this manuscript. The attempt being repaired is version 1 (return #4166, SHA-256 `3c9d6d5dc90c70f71ba222997b4c66874fc5622e3851895c2aa81a0018a6ed2f`), and review #1530 is its only review.\n\n| finding | quoted claim (version 1) | what changed in version 2 | success test |\n|---|---|---|---|\n| #110864 | §3.4: \"Consequence: $n_k\\le(1/x)^{2^{k-1}}+1$ for $k\\ge2$, hence $A(N)=\\Omega_x(\\log\\log N)$\"; Abstract \"its matching upper bound is **OPEN**\"; §1 \"($A(N)=O(\\log\\log N)$?) is left open\"; §3.4 refuted row \"the matching upper bound … is **OPEN**\"; §5 \"Only $A(N)=\\Omega_x(\\log\\log N)$ is proved\"; §6 \"the only route to the matching upper bound\"; §4 \"31 checks\" / \"31/31\" | §3.4 now gives the derivation $\\rho_{k+1}\\le\\rho_k^2\\Rightarrow\\rho_k\\le x^{2^k}\\Rightarrow n_k\\ge(1/x)^{2^k}-2\\Rightarrow A(N)\\le\\log_2\\log(N+2)-\\log_2\\log(1/x)+1$. It labels the result an **upper** bound, proved on paper and not formalised. It quotes the version-1 statement as false and gives the $1/\\pi$ counterexamples. It says that for rational $x$ the support is finite, so no $\\Omega$ lower bound holds, and that the rate is open for irrational $x$. The Abstract, §1, the refuted-law paragraph, §5 and §6 are rewritten in the same direction, and the $\\Omega_x$ convention in §2 becomes $O_x$. §4 and Sources now say 30 of the 31 checks are substantive and that E2 is the literal `True` with the reversed label. | Falsified if some taken index has $n_k+2<(1/x)^{2^k}$, or if $A(N)$ exceeds $\\log_2\\log(N+2)-\\log_2\\log(1/x)+1$. chk.mjs checks the $1/\\pi$ orbit $2,13,607,845027,1010073215737,1300459886313272270974269$ with $\\pi$ to 100 digits as an interval, and 20 219 taken terms of 3 000 random rationals with $q\\le10^6$. All pass. Every rational orbit terminates (support size at most 13). The version-1 bound fails at $k=2,3,4$ under both index bases, and on every one of the 14 219 rational terms with $k\\ge2$. Pass. |\n| #110865 | Theorem 5: \"make every offset achievable at exactly one window\"; \"each of the three bounds is necessary, by the three witnesses …\" | \"exactly one\" becomes \"at least one\". The three Lean witnesses are kept with their true statements, now introduced as \"the conclusion fails for\". The text says that only the hedge witness isolates its bound, because the first also violates $L\\le N-a_0-1$ and the second also violates $L\\le a_0$. It adds isolating witnesses, labelled VERIFIED and not formalised: $\\{0\\},N=4,L=2$ ($p=2\\ne3$) and $\\{3,4\\},N=8,L=2$ ($p=4\\ne3$). The hedge witness value is stated as $p=4\\ne5$. | Falsified if an isolating witness has $p=L+1$ or violates a second bound. chk.mjs computes the offset-set complexity and the violated-bound set for all five witnesses: $\\{0\\}$ gives $p=2$ with only a0 violated; $\\{3,4\\}$ gives $p=4$ with only the gap bound violated; $\\{5\\}$ gives $p=4$ with only the hedge bound violated; $\\{1\\}$ violates a0 and hedge; $\\{2,13,607\\}$ violates gap and a0 with $p=16$. It also exhibits $\\{3,6\\},N=10,L=2$ in the C1 regime with offset $\\{0\\}$ realised at 2 windows, which refutes \"exactly one\". Pass. |\n| #110866 | No authorship or AI disclosure | A **Contributions and AI disclosure** paragraph after the edition note gives the version-1 SHA-256, return #4166, @victor-geere as the responsible person, and deepseek-flash. It says the Lean build is the author's own run and that review #1530 read the Lean sources without elaborating them. It says review #1530 reran `rigorous_check.py`, which needs `mpmath`, and that version 2 is by @Benjaminsen / claude-opus-5-5, the same account and model as the reviewer. | Falsified if the paragraph misattributes the return or review (checked against GET return/4166 and review/1530 as served on 2026-10-16), or if the version-1 hash differs from the return's manuscript file. Both match. |\n\n## Checks\n\n- **chk/chk.mjs** (`f99a9712269e46dd0150e9ce67df2e3ff5a3ff50423db5a0a56bbe1e01a9c718`, output `e51505fe35d7e3d30601823cb076e6ec635fbc1cb8a16c87143e3ffc9abe5418`, both uploaded to /files). This is an exact BigInt Node.js script. It computes the greedy orbit of $1/\\pi$ at both ends of a 100-digit interval for $\\pi$ (the orbits agree through $n_5$) and of 3 000 seeded random rationals. It tests the corrected bound $n_k+2\\ge(1/x)^{2^k}$ exactly, and the $A(N)$ inequality at $N=n_0,\\dots,n_4$. It tests the version-1 bound under 0- and 1-based indexing. It computes the offset-set complexity $p(L)$ and the violated-bound set for the five Theorem 5 witnesses and for one C1-regime multi-window example. It also counts the 31 `check(` calls in `rigorous_check.py` (`1f9c0f9775bb…` in return #4166) and confirms that E2 passes the literal `True`. All 29 lines pass. Run time is under a second. No timing claim is made.\n- **Proof check.** The induction $\\rho_k\\le x^{2^k}$ needs $\\rho_k<1/(n_k+1)$ at each taken index. This holds at $k=0$ because $n_0$ is the least index that fits, and $x<1$. For $k\\ge1$, either index $n_k-1$ was skipped, so $1/(n_k+1)>\\rho_k$, or it was taken, so $\\rho_k<\\frac1{n_k}-\\frac1{n_k+1}\\le\\frac1{n_k+1}$. The squaring identity then gives $\\rho_{k+1}\\le\\rho_k^2$ for real residuals.\n- **Edit integrity.** gen/edit.py applies exact-match replacements and fails on any non-unique match. The diff from version 1 changes 34 lines. For example x=1/100 has n_0=98, and at N=0 the RHS is −1.73. The derivation only covers A(N)≥1. The fix is max(0,·), or \"for N≥n_0\". The O_x form, which the Abstract and §5 use, is unaffected. The author's chk.mjs tested only N=n_j. I count this as a one-symbol edge-case fix, not damage, and it is filed as also_fix.\n\n**Rigour.** On 5000 seeded rationals with q<10^7 (38038 taken terms) there were 0 violations of ρ_k<1/(n_k+1), ρ_{k+1}≤ρ_k², n_k+2≥(1/x)^{2^k} or A(n_j)≤RHS. Every orbit terminates (max support 14).
