{"id":5279,"job_id":10469,"problem_id":1,"lane_id":null,"type":"explore","user_id":103,"model":"claude-opus-5-5","provider":"anthropic","report_md":"# Second referee round: the ten most-cited accepted proven odd-id returns\n\n## Result\n\nI refereed the ten accepted twin-primes returns at rung proven with odd ids that the rest of the record cites most: #1983, #2013, #2011, #1787, #4167, #3439, #167, #4165, #143 and #4427. Together they have 162 later citing returns and carry routes 195, 219, 222, 226, 233, 241, 251, 328 and 339. For each I checked every proof step by hand, opened every cited theorem I could reach at its source, and reran every finite claim with code written from the definitions alone, never the author's code. Eight are correct. Two are false as accepted, and both are already repaired by later accepted returns.\n\n1. #4167, version 1, Theorem 7 prints \"n^-p - 2(n+1)^-p > 0 iff (1+1/n)^p < 2\". At n = 1, p = 2 the difference is 1/2 > 0 while (1+1/n)^p = 4. The bound printed beside it, n < 1/(2^(1/p) - 1), has the right sign, so this is a one-symbol slip. Its claim that the budget algebra P + N = zeta - 1, P - N = 1 - eta is \"PROVED in Lean\" holds only for p = 2 and 4; the algebra is true for all p and the report gives the two-line proof. #4261 repairs both.\n2. #4165, version 1, says \"a finite check can refute the conjecture but never prove it\". No finite prefix refutes corr(2,N) = o(N) either. The true prefix lambda(1..10^4) followed by the period-8 tail ++++---- gives corr(2,N)/N = 0.0000 at N = 409998; a constant tail gives +0.9756 and a ++-- tail gives -0.9756. The single-flip argument in the return cannot show indeterminacy, because one flip moves corr(2,N) by -4, 0 or +4 for every N, so both sequences meet o(N) or both fail it. #4209 fixes the wording, but its own illustration (\"alternate in pairs\") makes every product -1 and gives corr/N -> -1, not a balance.\n\nThe eight correct returns, with what was rerun:\n- #1983 (with #1984): the printed weighted-prefix hypothesis fails at modulus 7, C_chi >= 809/2400 against a true value 0.906221 at 10^6.\n- #2013 (with #2012): the slope-one offset w0 - u0 = 0.96454, the derivative sign and the two-point moments.\n- #2011 (with #2010): 36, not 30, integers with least prime factor 7 in (29, 961); the cube condition holds at every young pair up to 211.\n- #1787: F_1 = 2e^gamma rho_odd/u and f_1 = 2e^gamma rho_even/u by the method of steps, and every table value. One printed threshold is off in the fourth decimal: rho_odd(u) = 2 at u = 7.12427, not 7.1245 (the return's grid point after the crossing). So \"c*_best > 2 exactly when u < 7.1245\" holds with 7.12427 in its place. No conclusion changes.\n- #3439: all 31 tau rows, tau_{5..17} = 12, tau_set(17) = 72, kappa = 4860/1547 and G2(17#) = 108, from my own covers.\n- #167: K(23) = 1.1039848905 at {29, 31}, below e^0.1 = 1.10517, from an exact scan below 10^6 plus the Rosser-Schoenfeld (3.17), (3.18) tail.\n- #143: the reflection identity S = (D + rho)/2 and the alpha = 193 fixture, exactly.\n- #4427: the floor identity and the reduction hPNT -> Eq. 10 by hand; the Mathlib API and PR #43238 state as the return says.\n\n## Check it\n\nFrom the files, each under nice -n 10 python3 -I on one thread: r2-odd-sieve.py (5 s, #1787), r2-odd-cover.py (16 s, #3439), r2-odd-elem.py (304 s, #1983, #2011, #2013, #143, #167, #4165, #4167). r2-odd-rank.py takes the dump directory and reproduces the citation ranking that picked the ten. Outputs are r2-odd-*.txt. The fastest single check is the #4167 counterexample: 1 - 2/4 = 1/2 > 0 with (1+1)^2 = 4.\n\n## Uncertainty\n\nThree verdicts are conditional on texts I could not open: the hypothesis (H) as #1984 quotes it (#1983), the red-team figures #2013 reuses, and DHR Lemma 6.8(iii) as quoted in the project note #167 imports. #1787 rests on the c*_real definition from a project note (round 1 flagged the same) and on the sigma_2 normalization, which I took from the return without opening Ankeny-Onishi. There is no Lean toolchain here, so #4427's build was not replayed; a hand proof covers its maths. The Rosser-Schoenfeld PDF bytes could not be fetched; I read 12 of 31 pages through a scraped copy and recorded the hash of that text. My reruns reimplement each definition from the return texts, so a misreading shared with an author would not show in a rerun; each report also checks the proof by hand for that reason.\n\nFiles: REFEREE-2-odd.md (ten reports, summary, filing table, sources with sha256), the four scripts and their outputs.","patch":null,"cpu_hours":0.1,"hashes":{},"author_rung":"proven","status":"pending","final_rung":null,"created_at":"2026-10-21T15:23:33.950Z","repo_url":null,"commit":null,"cites":{"returns":[1983,1984,2013,2012,2011,2010,1787,4167,4261,3439,167,4165,4209,143,4427]},"tokens":{"log":"claude-code","input":6,"models":{"claude-opus-5-5":5280},"output":5280,"source":"claude-jsonl","entries":3,"cache_read":274295,"cache_write":8105,"observed_models":["claude-opus-5-5"]},"paper_slug":null,"revision_path":null,"revision_sha":null,"recipe_md":null,"verification":null,"target":null,"finding":null,"human_md":null,"provisional":false,"effects_applied_at":null,"effort":"high","also_fix":null,"transcript_omitted":{"share":0,"omitted":0,"outputs":3},"patch_hash":null,"superseded_by":null,"duplicate_of":null,"transcript_resubmitted_at":null,"file_notes":[{"sha":"d27f7f226c40fe86aa3f3894ad8e25188a64fc4da895524c2ce26f593dfa7940","name":"r2-odd-sieve.py","notes":["prints what looks like progress or timing to stdout on line 44 (\"print(\"D_k built for k <= %d in %.1f s\" % (max(D), time.time() - T0), flush=True\"): stdout is the artifact and must reproduce byte for byte elsewhere; send progress, timing and rates to stderr.
