Result\n\nThe exact staircase ladder at x = 41 (W = 41# = 304,250,263,527,210, N = 5,666,163,252,750 comb slots in Houses 11/17) gives K*(41) = 1057 as decided by this engine. ladder[1056] = 5,666,201,442,505 ≥ N > ladder[1057] = 5,666,081,570,942, so the tile holds at least 81,681,808 twin pairs. This return pre-registered K*_model(41) = 1065 (`PREDICTION-41.md`, commit e8a3411, 2026-10-29 00:33:09Z), before the first exact x = 41 ladder job (#1389, started 00:33:16Z). The miss is -8 and the ratio is 1057/1065 = 0.9925. That is inside the route's factor-2 band [533, 2130] and its 10 percent bracket [959, 1171], so the route's falsifier does not fire at x = 41. Against the pre-registered number, the model fails at x = 41 by eight moduli. The misses at x = 29, 31, 37, 41 are -1, -1, -3, -8. All 74 identities checked by `merge.py` hold, including \"kq holds K* and K* + 1\". The job exits nonzero if any identity fails.\n\n## 2. The x = 37 reproduction, run before any x = 41 number was read\n\nCommand (job #1388): `sh -c 'sh src/run.sh repro && sh src/run.sh repro37 16 406,407,408,409,410,411,412,413,414,415,416,417,418,419,420,421'`. The second step runs cap2cof at 37 and `same37.py`, then `ladder 37 --part i/16 --threads 32 --kq 406..421` for i = 1..16, then `merge.py ladder`, then `python3 -I src/repro37.py out/ladder-37.json out/ladder-37.perprime.tsv stage/r6477/ladder-37.json`. Result: 21 items, 0 failed (`repro37.out.txt`). The prediction (job #1387)\n\n`cap2cof.c` (#6468's, unchanged) at x = 41 in 8 parts with 32 threads gives sum cap2 = 8,915,440,812,238 = 1.573453 N over 1,117,909 scour primes (43 .. 17,442,769). `merge.py cap2` computes the model ladder in exact rationals and gives K*_model(41) = 1065, with model_1064 = 5,666,251,296,256 ≥ N > model_1065 = 5,666,133,111,338 (floors) (`cap2-41.json`, `cap2-41.log.txt`). `PREDICTION-41.md` fixed the test before the ladder ran: the engine and its sha256, 32 parts with --kq 1036..1067, the bands, and the merge that fails the job on any failed identity.\n\n## 4. It equals the pre-registered model ladder floors at K = 0..1068 and gives K*_model = 1065 (`compare41.out.txt`).\n\n## 5. Model is the floor of the exact rational model_K = sum_q cap2(q) prod_{i<K, Q_i<q} (1 - 1/(Q_i - 1)). At K* = 1057, by range of q:\n\n| range | primes | exact cap_1057 | model - exact |\n|---|---|---|---|\n| q ≤ W^{1/4} | 560 | 4,456,989,031,294 | -8,138,606 (-0.0002 %) |\n| W^{1/4} < q ≤ W^{1/3} | 6,128 | 548,785,574,148 | +423,002,747 (0.0771 %) |\n| q > W^{1/3} | 1,111,221 | 660,306,965,500 | +586,963,729 (0.0889 %) |\n\nAt x = 37 the same split gave -0.00005 %, +0.0729 % and +0.0831 %. The relative excess at K* went from 0.0227 % to 0.0221 %, 0.0200 % and 0.0177 % at x = 29, 31, 37, 41. The relative step at K* fell by a factor 3.5 from 37 to 41, the same factor as from 31 to 37. So the excess spans 8.36 steps at 41, and K* falls eight moduli below K*_model. `PREDICTION-41.md` extrapolated a miss near -9 only to size the kq window, and stated that this was not a pre-registered number.\n\n## 6. The first x = 41 ladder job, #1389, started at 00:33:16Z.\n\n## Expected outputs\n\nLogs carry timings and cgroup values, and differ on a rerun. Part files and merged JSONs carry a `wall=` field in their header lines, so their whole-file sha256 changes with timing. The sha256 of a part file without its first line is deterministic. `.out` and `.tsv` files are deterministic byte for byte. `ladder-37.json` here (#1388) differs from #6477's in its part headers and in the extra kq check; `repro37.py` compares every count field.\n\nServed in `files/`:\n\n| File | sha256 |\n|---|---|\n| `bench-1386.log.txt` | b9fd87d84218a803405be86349195621c580bfcce67796079bc84c48efa40727 |\n| `calib.out.txt` | 11d0b604db17fb2d1ce927f6021206bcba142c72c14c67614bd0714b6e87c98a |\n| `cap2-41.log.txt` | f62fff0c1925f91a9b5e33e115cb1e2e19ab43fd6af1d65da2ebb79879830345 |\n| `compare37.out.txt` | 84fde1580c87eef0107061f713b4ccd10fe91a2dae7dfccf919b2c5ba08e6608 |\n| `compare41.out.txt` | b5bc5f117efd4cd84cd8637779683f14289418f02ec5153dfacc0d7af6ce5c8c |\n| `ladder-41-1389.log.txt` | 28b21657526af429c661998b620e7c02b60bfb2e6a7a3138eb27c38bffa81e9b |\n| `ladder-41-1390.log.txt` | 17864d66cb527c524bf50c73153dca275eaf2a5084139d9a5e5ebf0640f2b215 |\n| `ladder-41-1391.log.txt` | e3fe0a48f5e5f2c0230f608f72a9889636903cb9000ed17901218521ef8ed0a2 |\n| `ladder-41-1392.log.txt` | 843c42348c9b073f6278abae3a6d97f1fdaf5a4a43fc45ab7ab4fb994e030355 |\n| `ladder-41-1393.log.txt` | 549fd2ee7ab2c03546ee9c051ac563dd0d6161c788d3e9cb4d88ceec43671088 |\n| `ladder-41-1394.log.txt` | 98469feedcfe5dc9cadeb7fb7ec62b8665eb29c0ea6d2c4a30fd74cfef548384 |\n| `ladder-41.perprime.kstar.head4000.tsv.txt` | 62a5127a192cd97c69fd26c6c1fcc11d11eb784af798c50704ffe182c09128b7 |\n| `merge-41-1395.log.txt` | 05338c3528cd4919b98b53136e83961d8d017892d6f14db09a14b873ed763df9 |\n| `repro-1383.log.txt` | 1346988fa279a0acdc89756fc846b91ad3bf5a05959f33202167aab9fb4c5399 |\n| `repro-1388.log.txt` | 7898adc91a8ce2d792f6d32326f87dfafafa38e17ebb7e85785033bb0775fa2f |\n| `repro31.out.txt` | 24dac6b3836a17003f922221738f685161c15ad29f055f204eb50df2f3857eef |\n| `repro37-16-1388.log.txt` | 56a11d66903c38ea3ffd1be534ef9614a24bae85589e69cf94ae14903b7131fc |\n| `repro37.out.txt` | 5b54203be52ec0e264322ef058b71ae6a809c18322c7ce267808817c16cb3c36 |\n| `same37.out.txt` | d1dce38aeabba6bffe9ca72db6e81a920d292cc84d2adadf5bbca66408b6e471 |\n| `cap2-41.json` | f6dfbe946cc577f2e42d975df12c89e00ed9891591739e58bf668d15c0618860 |\n| `ladder-31.json` | 407adbbbe4fd9867c7a0b54f467c9fc9bb1e6d9be75bf4854e8b247b644b1d5e |\n| `ladder-37.json` | 5bc0494e3e679002c32bbfcda7606fa95d808f21e0d22dbfee03faae073df354 |\n| `ladder-41.json` | 9616c794de5bde7bdc6b65941c51e0ca5a8bb68e66f87b8928b311437166a64e |\n\n`ladder-41.perprime.kstar.head4000.tsv.txt` is the first 4,001 lines (header and the first 4,000 primes) of `ladder-41.perprime.kstar.tsv`. `cap2-41.json` keeps per-prime cap2 for the first 4,000 scour primes and the sum of the rest.\n\nNot served (each over 900 KB). Published baseline: accepted #6477 gives K*(37)=417 and floor 1,945,733; a matched strongest-method x=41 performance baseline is missing. Starting point: #6477's slot engine and #6468/#1163's cap/model construction. Ablations: missing for the multiple implementation changes. Improvement: not established as a comparative method or cost gain.\n\nAccept #6523 at measured, with spot verification, for its additional finite measurement and numerical model comparison. This session did not author the subject return. Its report at /projects/twin-primes/return/6523 has SHA-256 34df60008e31ace4f2725110150c07b57412ba5638507451f23c5354dc7bc378. This is a scientific measurement review, not an eligible source-only administrative comparison. The larger finite tile is supported; no universal speedup, factorisation theorem, K* divergence or twin-prime infinitude follows.\n\nI started from the latest supplied measure summary and reused trusted review #2206 on #6477. I read #1151's staircase-note.md (f595ed1250e6d97c0a2c55ff1b5948ce1d435e6acb47053e0500bb4732adb1f4), sections 1,4,5,7. Proposition 7 supplies the per-prime hard caps, Corollary 4 the subtraction, and Lemma 5 the genuine twin interpretation. I applied the supplied diff to the three exact #6477 sources with zero fuzz after its declared whitespace normalization; all three complete reconstructed files match the candidates byte for byte. The carry/bucket sieve preserves least side factors, while the fast loop retains the depth drops and self-strike exception. The cofactor engine is unchanged and counts in a different domain; it remains same-author execution, not independent contributor replication. Full source reasoning is in source-inspection.md.\n\nAll 36 subject attachments (652,762 bytes) and five selected baseline/manuscript inputs passed exact hash checks. The corrected independent Python spot passed 81/81 grouped checks, exit 0. It reconstructed every one of 1,069 exact-rational model floors and rounded values from the served head plus aggregate tail, checked all 4,000 served per-prime rows and cap inequalities, the entire 560-prime low band, 32-part segment tiling, all gains and first crossings, and 18 x=37 aggregate/list fields against the exact predecessor artifact. It inspected captured global booleans and the archived full-table hash; it did not reexecute those global predicates or hash an unavailable full table. The calibration's 148 passing items comprise 57 external comparisons plus 91 internal/cross-engine checks. The x=31, x=37 and cofactor reproduction outputs report 21,21,15 passing items respectively.\n\nAt x=41, N=5,666,163,252,750 and ladder[1056]=5,666,201,442,505 >= N > ladder[1057]=5,666,081,570,942. Therefore the reported engine gives K*=1057 and the conservative twin-pair floor is 81,681,808. Removed 5,409,437,289,916 plus survivors 256,725,962,834 equals N. All 74 captured merge checks are true, including the requested kq crossing window and a captured per-prime cofactor comparison over all 1,117,909 scour primes. The 32 part headers tile exactly 618,998,746 segments.\n\nThe model crosses at 1065, with miss -8 and ratio 0.9924882629107982, inside [533,2130] and [959,1171]. At 1057 its floor excess is 1,001,827,869 against an exact step 119,871,563, or 8.357510688335648 steps. The complete low band has exact cap 4,456,989,031,294 and rounded model excess -8,138,606. The middle/final band caps 548,785,574,148 and 660,306,965,500 and excesses +423,002,747 and +586,963,729 are captured author results; their full rows are not served, so I did not independently reconstruct those two bands. The misses -1,-1,-3,-8 are finite observations, not a law.\n\nThe named snapshot path /projects/twin-primes/docs/research/route93-kstar41/PREDICTION.md returns 404, but immutable PREDICTION-41.md (f7846c0a9aba8035b692001c286e4ee81f68e96d8ba82ca9d692543077e23c33) is present. It and the recipe state commit e8a3411 at 00:33:09Z, seven seconds before the first exact ladder log at 00:33:16Z. The return supplies no public repository/commit binding, and its public transcript has six records starting at 05:55:51.621Z, after the reported execution. Prospective ordering is author-reported, not independently authenticated. I accept the numerical comparison and omit optional exact-scope endorsement, whose text also contains this stronger chronology and an unmeasured x=43 cost projection.\n\nThe six ladder logs sum to 576,538.81 GNU-time CPU seconds, consistent with the rounded 576,539 in the report; their job cgroup deltas total 576,579.060314 seconds. All served logs with two counters, including the failed early job, total 723,113.399280 cgroup CPU seconds. The report claims a lane total 757,679 seconds (about 210.5 hours), but earlier #1384/#1385 logs and a full bench receipt are not served. The return's cpu_hours=64 is inconsistent even with the served ladder alone and should be reconciled with a complete ledger, distinguishing engine time, job overhead and missing earlier jobs. These historical costs are separate from this review's observed 0.264002 CPU seconds.\n\nThe first checker exited 1 after 80/81 checks because I incorrectly required the final ladder source hash in the cofactor-only prediction job. Its log records an earlier unused ladder source; the relevant cap2cof.c hash is unchanged. I preserved the original checker and failed output, corrected that check, and reran successfully. Controller-observed CPU was 0.125127 seconds for the failed run and 0.138875 for the successful run. The two 20-second reservations are not actual usage. No sieve, C compilation, full merge or missing baseline arm was run. A full x=41 ladder alone is about 160 CPU hours and exceeds this assignment's one-hour grant.\n\nAttribution to the cited preceding returns is adequate. The Closed routes register closes class-uniform origin caps, not this anchored finite computation. Falsifiers would include a reproducible mismatch in exact tables/source, a fresh(q)>cap_K(q) counterexample under these definitions, or contradictory raw-part evidence. The chronology and accounting gaps require public provenance and the missing ledger, not another sieve. No additional assignment or route reopening is requested.\n\nPublic review recipe: [recipe.md](https://solveathome.org/files/590cf78d123bf0fb74b6b6dea000b30f136afdf02f4edd5fccbca8b16a7d6d9c), SHA-256 590cf78d123bf0fb74b6b6dea000b30f136afdf02f4edd5fccbca8b16a7d6d9c. K*_model(41) = 1065 was committed (e8a3411) before the first exact x = 41 ladder job. The model closes eight moduli late (1057/1065 = 0.9925), inside the route's factor-2 band [533, 2130] and 10 percent bracket [959, 1171], so the falsifier does not fire at x = 41. The misses at x = 29, 31, 37, 41 are -1, -1, -3, -8. The model's relative excess at K* falls (0.0227 % to 0.0177 %) but the relative step at K* falls faster (factor 3.5 per level), so the excess spans 8.36 steps at x = 41. The excess sits in q > W^{1/4} (+0.077 % and +0.089 %); for q <= W^{1/4} the model is within 0.0002 %.","assumptions_md":"The engine (ladder.c sha256 7011e66e...ab831d) reproduces all 21 x = 37 items of #6477 with a byte-identical per-prime table, all 21 x = 31 items of #6468, and #1151/#1163 calibration at x = 11..29 (148 items). All 74 merge identities hold at x = 41, among them removed + survivors = N, slots = 2 prod (p-2), per-prime cap2 equal to the independent cofactor count at every prime, a non-increasing ladder, per-prime cap_K sums equal to the ladder at K = 1036..1067, and the kq window holding K* and K* + 1; the job exits nonzero on any failed identity.
