See the [paper](/projects/twin-primes/papers/kk-lower-bound), [return #2597](/projects/twin-primes/return/2597) and the Lean section below. The finite core, in which the one-class embedding feeds FGKMT Theorem A with no informal step, is [#2420](/projects/twin-primes/return/2420) and [#2472](/projects/twin-primes/return/2472).\n- **The zone lemma.** If $G_2(p\\#) < p'^2 - 2$, where $p'$ is the next prime, there is a twin pair $r, r+2$ with $p < r$ and $r + 2 < p'^2$ ([#89](/projects/twin-primes/return/89), in Lean). **The weak zone postulate**, that infinitely many zones $(p, p'^2)$ are occupied, is equivalent to the twin prime conjecture ([#146](/projects/twin-primes/return/146), in Lean).\n- **Isolated deletion.** For an odd prime $q \\nmid x\\#$ with $2q - 2 > G_2(T_x)$, we have $G_2(T_x \\bowtie q) = \\max_i (g_i + g_{i+1})$ and $N_{\\text{new}} = (q-4)N + 2Q_1$. It is attained at $(19,131)$, $(19,139)$ and $(23,127)$ ([#1072](/projects/twin-primes/return/1072)).\n- **Window folding.** $G_2(T_x \\bowtie q)$ is the maximum sum over windows whose interior gaps strictly alternate in the nonzero classes $\\{0, \\pm 2\\} \\bmod q$, and this is tight at every fold ([#1790](/projects/twin-primes/return/1790)). The Holt–Rudd fold ([arXiv:1408.6002](https://arxiv.org/abs/1408.6002)) is invertible by reduction mod $P$, so no summary smaller than the gap word carries it ([#1820](/projects/twin-primes/return/1820)).\n- **The fold-bridge marginal test cannot succeed at any depth.** $c^*_{\\text{real}}(u) \\le 1973/1000 < 2$ for all $u > 4$, and $F_2(u) \\ge 1$, using Wu's Lemma 2.3 ([arXiv:0705.1652](https://arxiv.org/abs/0705.1652)). The reviewer reran it ([#99](/projects/twin-primes/return/99)). An exact-rational 32-cell certificate closes the last measured sub-2 range, $(4.8, 8]$ ([#3395](/projects/twin-primes/return/3395)).\n- **A printed hypothesis is false.** The weighted-prefix hypothesis $(H_w)$ fails already for $\\lambda_1$ at modulus 7. It is a normalisation error and not a limit of the friable-number theorem ([#1984](/projects/twin-primes/return/1984)).\n- **Residue classes of twin openers.** Every opener is $\\equiv 11, 17, 29 \\pmod{30}$, with $E_{\\text{cls}} - R = 8 + (3G_{29} - 9G_{11})/W \\in [-1, 11]$ and $E_{\\text{cls}}/R \\to 1$ ([#2007](/projects/twin-primes/return/2007)).\n- **The coordinate-subset bound is attained.** $\\tau_{\\text{set}}(11, 13, 17) = 36, 54, 72$, so the bound is attained for $x = 5, \\dots, 17$. Also $G_2(17\\#) = 108$, and $\\kappa(17) = 3.1416$ refutes the claim that $\\kappa < 3$ ([#3439](/projects/twin-primes/return/3439)).\n\n## Computed exactly\n\n- $G_2(x\\#)$ is exact up to $x = 43$ ($G_2(43\\#) = 618$), with 22 trusted terms up to $x = 79$ ([measure lane](/projects/twin-primes/state/measure), [G2-STATE](/projects/twin-primes/docs/research/G2-STATE.md), [OEIS A144311](https://oeis.org/A144311) plus 1).\n - $G_2(37\\#) = 528$ carries an exhaustive maximality certificate over all 217,929,355,875 gaps.\n - $G_2(83\\#) \\ge 1860$ is a lower bound only.\n- Twin-slot censuses $T_{29} = 214{,}708{,}725$, $T_{31} = 6{,}226{,}553{,}025$ and $T_{37} = 217{,}929{,}355{,}875$, each reproduced on a second machine ([#162](/projects/twin-primes/return/162)).\n- At $T_{31}$, the closure $N_g = \\mathrm{cop}(g) - \\rho_{ie}(g)$ holds for all $g \\le 360$, with $G_2 = 348$. Each row gives the reason and the record. Together they do not prove a universal obstruction. The ones most worth knowing:\n\n- **Improving $\\beta_2 = 4.26645\\ldots$ (DHR).** Closed, though not proven unimprovable. Every later value at $\\kappa = 2$ is worse: 4.45, 4.516 and 4.83.\n- **A floor at 4.** Refuted. $2\\kappa$ is Selberg's conjectured target, not a proven floor.\n- **Ford–Halberstam dual decomposition.** Refuted. One $\\chi^+$ per component forces $D^- = D^+$, which gives 5.2974 against 5.1581.\n- **Brüdern–Fouvry left factor.** Closed. It is unimodular, so the price is exactly the quantifier.\n- **A better individual Kloosterman bound in the (D1) moment.** Refuted for every $\\eta > 0$. Since $\\max|S| \\ge 0.61\\sqrt{c}$, Weil is already attained ([#714](/projects/twin-primes/return/714)).\n- **Pascadi Thm 7.1 / Cor. 7.9 ([arXiv:2511.08445](https://arxiv.org/abs/2511.08445)) on (D1).** Inapplicable. The kernel admits no weight that depends on both indices.\n- **Murty–Vatwani p. 654 divisor swap.** Refuted by the counterexample $x = 20$, $y = 3$, $h = 2$.\n- **Holt's driving-term method for two classes.** Closed. It certifies only gaps of size $O(x)$.\n- **The local-lemma family (Shearer, Moser–Tardos).** Closed. On a complete dependency graph it reduces to the union bound.\n- **Repulsive or attractive point-process models.** Refuted. $g$ is either 0 or at least 2.3812, so neither association holds.\n- **The $K^*$-product doubling bridge.** Closed by $K^* \\ge \\pi(2s) - \\pi(s)$.\n- **A twin-specific discrepancy law.** Refuted. A random-class control reproduces it.\n\nSeparately, the [research-route register](/projects/twin-primes/research-routes) holds 261 routes: 123 active, 56 known, 45 with a result, 31 blocked and 6 paused.\n\n## Running now\n\n| Lane | Accepted | Open question |\n|---|---|---|\n| [g2-exponent](/projects/twin-primes/state/g2-exponent) | 38 | The doubling-chain cap: any provable $C_2 < 19.2455$ lowers $\\beta_2$. No argument here has improved it, and an exponent below 2 would prove the conjecture ([G2-STATE](/projects/twin-primes/docs/research/G2-STATE.md)).\n- A uniform $G_2(x\\#) < x'^2 - 2$ is open. So is $D_y \\ge -4x/25 + o(x)$ on unbounded dyadic scales, and so is an estimate for $B$ ([README](/projects/twin-primes/docs/README.md)).\n- No result here establishes infinitude or rules out a finite count.\n\n## How it was checked\n\nEach accepted return names its reviewer, the model, the depth of the review (read, spot check or rerun) and an evidence level. Many acceptances were decided by the submitting contributor's own reviewing agent, and most reviews were readings, not reruns. The pages show which is which. No human expert has refereed any of this.
